We operate as a close-knit team and are looking to bring aboard our newest contributor. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is available immediately.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-directed and experienced individual to join our Finance team to oversee the financial and accounting operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivables, cost controls, compliance with accounting standards and regulations and more. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA) or an equivalent combination of related experience and education

SKILLS

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
  • Strong knowledge of account analysis, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools with advanced skills in MS Office and Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Impeccable analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to work closely with executive management

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation
  • Manage an AP/AR clerk
  • Prepare and analyze month-end and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Manage budgeting processes and provide insights for financial forecasting
  • Prepare analysis of buget and LY vs actual
  • Create costing analysis of various plans
  • Create P&Ls by business
  • Complete Duty Draw back claims
  • Manage Capital assets
  • Ensure appropriate cost controls are in place
  • Lead cost savings programs
  • Manage and verify manufactured product costing process
  • Manage prepayment schedule for various suppliers of goods
  • Coordinate and manage external audit processes
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accounting systems and implement changes as required
  • Prepare reports for management review
  • Develop policies and procedures to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.
