Description We are seeking a Leader for our Accounting Team. As our Controller you would be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our Automotive Group, ensuring compliance, and accurately reporting on the financial performance of our various businesses and overall company. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task, can work independently as well as with a Team, and has excellent communication skills. This position will be responsible for: Preparing complete financial statements monthly according to company guidelines and within each manufacturer's format and required timeframes. Ensuring that all manufacturer accounts, including warranty claims, rebates, interest protection and co-op advertising are current and accurate. Ensuring all processes are completed as expected, bills are paid on time, reconciliations are done as expected, and confidentiality is fully upheld with ALL information. Work with our Payroll Supervisor on the processing of our bi-weekly and commission payrolls, ensuring they are completed accurately and timely, resolving any discrepancies promptly. Always maintaining compliant policies and procedures when processing payroll. Maintaining a high level of confidentiality regarding all company and wage information. Calculating accurate commissions due for certain positions within our company. Communicating effectively with our Team Members, resolving inquiries, and addressing issues. Ensuring procedures, policies, relevant tax law, regulations, and labor standards are followed. Ensuring accurate input and documentation for up-to-date payroll records. Accurate and timely processing. Assisting with other accounting tasks as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: A very strong knowledge of accounting practices. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a Team. The starting annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000+ and will be evaluated based upon relevant skills, training, experience, education and other job-related factors permitted by law.
