Controller - Charlotte, North Carolina Who: A well-established consumer products manufacturing organization. What: Seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and financial reporting. When: Immediate need due to organizational growth. Where: Charlotte, NC. Why: To strengthen financial controls, enhance reporting, and support strategic decision-making. Office Environment: On-site role in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment. Position Overview: The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls for a dynamic consumer goods company. This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a manufacturing setting and enjoys driving operational improvements. Key Responsibilities: Lead the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Oversee cost accounting and inventory controls Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies Supervise accounting team and coordinate audits Partner with operations to drive financial insights and efficiencies Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and ERP systems Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop a team Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
