Our downtown oil and gas producer client is currently seeking a controller which will report to the VP of Finance. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a smaller yet growing producer.

QUALIFICATIONS;

• CPA designation ideally from a big four accounting firm.
• A minimum of 6 years in of oil and gas specific experience.
• Will have a strong background with IFRS
• Previous experience in leading a Finance or Accounting team.
  Job Type: Full-time
  Pay: $140,000.00-$160,000.00 per year

• Coordinate monthly close process and ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reporting package
• Ensure all balance sheet account reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis and reconciling items are cleared timely. Perform analytical review of balance sheet accounts.
• Establish and monitor internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Review monthly balance sheets, bank reconciliations, manage complex journal entries.
• Complete the ESTMA Annual Report.
• Drive process improvement to ensure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting team.
• Oversee a team of 6-8 operational and financial accounting employees.
