POSITION SUMMARY:

The Controller will oversee all financial, accounting, and regulatory compliance activities related to the import and export of parallel vehicles. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and knowledge of international trade, customs regulations, and automotive market practices. Fluency in Mandarin is required for liaising with suppliers, clients, and authorities in China.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance roles, ideally within automotive, import/export, or logistics sectors.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs documentation, and vehicle import/export procedures.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with international stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and control budgets, cash flow, and working capital for vehicle import/export operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs duties, taxes, and automotive import/export laws.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights into profitability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Support senior management in strategic decision-making related to procurement, logistics, and pricing of imported/exported vehicles.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, sales, and operations, to ensure smooth financial and operational workflows.
  • Communicate effectively in Mandarin with suppliers, clients, and regulatory authorities.
