Description:

Robert Half is looking for a Controller to join our client! The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. Are you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance or Controller looking for a challenging role at an established company? Then this may be the role for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop business plans with department managers and corporate leadership
  • Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations
  • Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
  • Supervise financial planning and budget management functions
  • Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
  • Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations
  • Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
  • Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives
  • Hire, train, and retain finance staff

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or equivalent -MBA or CPA is a plus
  • 7+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • Proven ability to link key initiatives with their impact on profitability and a background in implementing innovative concepts.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and distill complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Experience in providing strategic oversight and leadership in finance and accounting processes and practices.
  • Skilled in setting financial performance indicators and effectively communicating financial analysis.
  • Strong team leading and coaching abilities.
  • Experience in long-range business strategy planning.
  • Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills and the aptitude to understand, anticipate, and respond to the needs of internal division leaders.
