Description

An established Construction company in Monmouth county is seeking a Controller to join their team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting process, handling the financials, managing the accounting team and also help support Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a similar industry and have a strong accounting foundation.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain effective document control processes to ensure compliance and accessibility.
  • Manage document scanning activities to digitize and organize records efficiently.
  • Compile and review financial and operational documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline documentation workflows and support project needs.
  • Develop and maintain organizational policies for document storage and retrieval.
  • Monitor financial activities to ensure adherence to company budgets and regulations.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for document handling and financial reporting.
  • Train team members on effective document control and scanning techniques.
  • Analyze financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Proven experience in a Controller or similar financial management role.
  • Strong knowledge of document control processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in document scanning technologies and software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to compile, review, and manage large volumes of documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
