Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations at our Hudson, Wisconsin area facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions while maintaining a hands-on approach to day-to-day accounting processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with leadership.
  • Analyze financial performance and key metrics, delivering actionable recommendations to improve operations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners to ensure compliance and effective communication.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Enhance accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with international teams to align financial reporting and operational strategies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve cost accounting and financial analysis practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong background in manufacturing or industrial automation environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and familiarity with accounting software systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and audit procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Comfortable working onsite at the River Falls, Wisconsin location.
