Service Specialists recruiting agency is seeking a Controller for a growing multi-location company. This role is responsible for reporting on overall financial health, providing leadership with accurate and timely financial analyses, and identifying opportunities for improved profitability relative to monthly and annual forecasts. The Controller will work closely with management to ensure accounting integrity, compliance, and operational excellence.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This individual will oversee the preparation and interpretation of financial statements, supervise accounting functions, and support both short- and long-term forecasting. This role requires a strong leader who can partner with department managers to streamline processes, maintain compliance, and deliver actionable insights to guide business strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting/controllership experience in a multi-entity or regional environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel regionally as needed.
  Salary: $85k-$115k

• Prepare complete monthly financial statements in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure all accounts, claims, rebates, and credits are current and accurate.
• Interpret financial statements and daily operating controls, providing insights on trends and business performance.
• Supervise accounting staff to ensure accurate records, proper procedures, and audit-ready documentation.
• Support the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
• Provide department leaders with detailed financial and management reports.
• Maintain an effective cash management system and recommend profitable use of excess cash.
• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, investigating and correcting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, including tax filings, payroll, and retirement plan requirements.
• Manage and optimize accounting/ERP systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in management meetings and maintain a professional presence.
