Description Summary In conjunction with the mission, vision and values of Star Valley Health this position is responsible for assisting the CFO with various accounting and financial functions. Those functions include budget preparation and reporting, analytical reviews of data, financial statement preparation, audit and other general accounting. Responsibilities include direction and guidance of the staff of assigned department. This is an “at will” position. Job Duties In conjunction with the CFO, Controller is responsible for financial operations including accounting, budgetary, audits, and financial planning activities within the organization. Assisting the CFO to ensure the organization meets necessary financial regulatory and compliance requirements. Prepare and distribute monthly financials statements with statistics. Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Coordinate the provision of information for interim and annual audits and analyzes various accounts as needed. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. Monitor and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness. Day to day motivation and leadership of the accounting team and entire accounting function. Requirements Requirements Abilities & Skills: Sound analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge or computer applications in creating and maintaining spreadsheet, MS Excel, and data base files. Highly motivated, project starter. Multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon request and need Experience & Education: Requires Bachelors in Accounting. CPA preferred. Minimum three (5) years progressive accounting experience in complex environment.
