Description Job Summary: As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities of the company. You will provide strategic financial insights, contribute to decision-making processes, and ensure the company's financial health and growth. Responsibilities: Financial Management: Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the executive team. Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis. 2. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements. Oversee the preparation of regulatory and financial reporting, including tax filings, audits, and other compliance-related activities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address any financial reporting or compliance issues. 3. Internal Controls and Risk Management: Develop and implement effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Assess and mitigate financial risks, identifying potential areas of concern and implementing strategies to address them. 4. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Develop and maintain a high-performing team focused on delivering accurate and timely financial information. 5. Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including evaluating potential investments, acquisitions, and partnerships. 6. Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities for automation and technology adoption to streamline financial operations. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA designation is a plus. Proven experience (2+ years) in a senior finance role, preferably within the food or ingredient industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment.
