QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA designation with 10+ years progressive experience in an accounting or finance leadership role.
• Experience supporting construction, building material or project-based service businesses preferred
• Strong understanding of both Canadian and U.S. GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to manage accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Great Planes, Netsuite or similar ERP platforms
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting into the President and CEO, the Controller will be a part of strategic growth plans as well as handle day to day full cycle accounting while planning for growth and building an internal team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct all accounting, compliance, and tax across Canada/U.S.
• Lead closes, consolidate reporting, and control cash flow.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Build teams, partner with auditors, and optimize systems.
