Delaware North Sportservice is searching for a high-performing Controller to join our team at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Within these responsibilities are a variety of accounting functions, including performing financial reporting, consolidating financial results, performing Accounts Payable invoice approvals, and overseeing audit requirements and cash management. You’ll collaborate with TD Garden leadership and corporate accounting to continue enhancing processes and transitions of work. • Manage the accounting function at the unit, including direct leadership, supervision, and effective management of the unit accounting team members
• Oversee the month-end close process and general ledger. Review all receivables, accounts payable transactions, and journal entries by team members
• Build and analyze the annual plan and monthly projections, while providing insightful reviews of year-over-year changes, and recommend areas of focus to improve operating margins
• Responsible for the ad hoc analyses of the financials and preparing reports to facilitate decision making across the unit
• Complete audits and ensure team members are knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Execute strategies and standards related to accounting policy, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and financial systems and controls
• Collaborate with corporate functions across the board to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implemented
• Identify opportunities for improvements and controls to enhance the unit
• Work closely with all team members on site, including the General Manager, HR, Culinary, and Operations teams
• Ability to multitask and handle priorities in a fast-paced environment
