QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA, or equivalent) – Required
  • Proven experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and audit management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft D365 Business Central, Excel, Word, and related financial systems
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive change and build a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Brampton, Ontario
  • Experience in the automotive industry or multi-site business operations is considered an asset

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to join the leadership team. Reporting directly to the President, the Controller will play a key role in driving financial strategy, overseeing accounting operations, and ensuring the organization’s financial health. This position is well-suited for a results-oriented leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute both operationally and strategically.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements and management reports to support business decision-making
  • Supervise payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing functions
  • Establish and monitor internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate and manage financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
  • Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic financial guidance and support organizational goals
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration and accountability
