THE OPPORTUNITY

Tiltco Architectural Facades is currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a proven track record in manufacturing or inventory-driven environments who is ready to take ownership of the company’s full financial function. The Controller will manage day-to-day accounting operations, lead the budgeting and forecasting process, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic financial insight to support the growth of our business.

REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA designation (or equivalent) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA considered an asset)
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience
  • Strong cost accounting expertise, including BOMs and production workflows
  • ERP system experience (QuickBooks experience is required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and best practices across AP/AR and full-cycle accounting
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate external audits and act as the primary liaison with auditors.
  • Lead annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Analyze budget vs. actual performance and present actionable insights.
  • Oversee product costing, BOM analysis, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.
  • Partner with operations and production teams to ensure accurate standard costs.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
  • Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities across the organization.
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements, managing banking relationships and credit facilities.
  • Oversee AP/AR and general ledger functions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
