Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an ambitious finance professional to take full ownership of our finance function from the ground up. This is an ideal role for an experienced Controller or strong Assistant Controller who’s ready to step into a broader leadership position. You’ll handle the day-to-day finance operations while also gaining exposure to strategic decision-making, working directly with the founders, and building the systems that will support our next phase of growth. As the company scales, this role is designed to evolve into a true Head of Finance/CFO position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Finance & Admin function (LMA role)
  • Oversee budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting cycles
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts and dashboards for company-wide visibility
  • Manage cost controls and identify savings across insurance, vendors, tools, and services
  • Build and monitor departmental budgets, coaching teams to own their numbers
  • Review and verify sales compensation plans and monthly commission payouts
  • Work with HR on payroll accuracy, bonuses, and performance-based compensation
  • Ensure multi-state sales tax (Nexus), insurance, and regulatory compliance are handled proactively
  • Own AP, AR, and bookkeeping processes, doing the work when necessary and improving systems over time
  • Handle banking relationships and treasury management
  • Liaise with external finance-related professionals: insurance brokers, CPA, benefit providers, etc.
  • Be the source of truth for clean P&Ls, strategic reports, and board-ready summaries
