Job Description THE ROLE Deliver meaningful value adding analysis and recommendations which highlight key trends and issues in operational performance to support strategic goals and budget setting processes. Provide high quality financial guidance to internal and external stakeholders based on commercial insight, market context and business strategy to support decision making and identify commercial opportunities. Working closely with the Controlling team, you will play a key role in transforming finance across the business. Business Partner to Sales, Operations and Marketing teams to improve business performance and profitability. RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES INCLUDE: Forecasting & Budgeting: Financial appraisals, modelling, budgeting and forecasting Attend monthly actual / forecast meetings with Sales Managers and Operations Managers, making sure precise collection / challenge of information to support actual and forecast results Process and review forecasting input on a monthly basis, making sure all the numbers submitted are accurate, with particular focus on volume, mix and price Prepare, process and analyse monthly local distribution costs (standard and variations), highlighting risks and opportunities Support the annual Budgeting process and be responsible for hitting all key deadlines Profitability Analysis / Reporting: Pro active variance analysis of actuals versus budget, forecast and prior year to support business decisions Support in developing new KPIs with business unit management teams Rebates, Accrual and Pricing Management: Manage and optimise multiple customer rebate credit notes requests with a clear focus on budget management and adhering to strict internal controls Act as an authorised signatory for price corrections, rebate changes and rebate credits. Ensure pro active investigation of all submissions while adhering to timely process management Ensure accurate accrual postings with satisfactory backup to support figures Support in external Audit requirements as needed linked to rebates and distribution accruals Ad-hoc: Support on Finance projects and undertake additional tasks where appropriate Continuously challenging and improving current financial analysis and reporting Work with local and HQ finance and commercial operations teams to optimise systems and processes Qualifications Studying CIMA or ACCA Part Qualified (active studier) Experience in Business Partnering / Commercial Finance Experience in an FP&A environment dealing with variance analysis reporting Intermediate Excel skills e.g. vlookups / sumif / pivot tables / if formulas Experience working to strict deadlines – strong planning and organisation skills Strong attention to detail Strong problem solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills ‘Can do’ attitude and strong team ethic Methodical thinker working well under pressure To achieve objectives some travel will be required to fully engage with internal and external stakeholder Additional Information Ready to drive with Continental?
