This position plays a leading role in the deployment of electrical control systems. This includes testing and commissioning of materials handling automation hardware and PLC software. Tasks and Qualifications: Key responsibilities of the position include: Conformance to OHS&E standards in the execution of all work Testing and commissioning on customer sites Preparation and completion of test documentation Validation of safety systems Ability to interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts What We Are Looking For Key skills, qualifications and attributes include: Degree qualified in an Engineering or scientific discipline 3+ years proven experience programming, configurating and commissioning Siemens S7-1500 PLCs, Siemens variable speed drives, barcode scanners and safety devices Experience commissioning profinet networks Experience using Siemens integrated safety Ability to work in a project based environment as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team Passion for hands on setup and testing of PLC controlled machinery Troubleshooting and fault finding during commissioning and handover phases Experience with materials handling automation desired but not essential Full time commissioning role located in the south western area of Melbourne for duration of employment contract. Responsibilities

The Controls Commissioning Engineer will lead the deployment of electrical control systems, including testing and commissioning of materials handling automation hardware and PLC software. The role involves traveling to customer locations to fulfill work requirements.
