The Controls Designer is responsible for multiple duties, and will have 5+ years of related experience with AutoCAD Electrical with an Automation background. They will be part of a team that designs and implements electrical prints, automation and drives projects, including safety and IT-interfaces for all production machinery in manufacturing. They will ensure a variety of tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. These responsibilities include working closely with Mechanical design and shop floor employees to ensure electrical prints are following codes and issued in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

The following are the minimum requirements for the position:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • A two-year technical degree, or a four-year degree in related field
  • Ability to work in AutoCad to design electrical and pneumatic prints
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Previous experience in the automation industry is a plus
  • Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to organize and schedule tasks
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
