JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated Controls Engineer to join our team in Holland, MI, specializing in designing, developing, and implementing custom automated equipment. This role involves PLC programming, HMI development, and working with robotic systems, including Fanuc robots. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to lead the development of control systems, ensuring alignment with customer standards and scope.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• 3+ years of experience in Robotics programming with Fanuc robots.
• 3+ years of experience in PLC programming and editing from scratch.
• Experience in programming HMI systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Autonomous Mobile Robots.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop custom automated equipment solutions.
• Implement PLC programming and HMI systems.
• Work with robotic systems, particularly Fanuc robots.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system development meets customer standards.
• Travel to customer sites 25% of the time for system installation and integration.
• Work closely with assembly and installation teams to ensure successful equipment integration.
