We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer to join our KSS team in Poca, WV.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Preferred experience in material handling systems or industrial weighing applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated eagerness to learn
  • Solid foundation in electrical systems with practical troubleshooting experience
  • Proficiency in creating electrical schematics using AutoCAD

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The controls engineer will be responsible for electrical designing, responsibilities include-

  • Design electrical systems, including layout drawings, schematics, cable and conduit plans, motor control center (MCC) specifications, and lighting designs
  • Program and integrate PLCs (MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix) and HMIs (RSView Studio)
  • Set up, test, and troubleshoot control systems both in-house and at customer sites
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for installed systems—both remotely and on-site
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers, project managers, sales teams, and panel fabricators
  • Assist with equipment selection, cost estimating, and procurement
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and stay current with emerging technologies
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by engineering leadership
