Job Description

  • Project lead for software development, PLC programming and IT infrastructure implementations.
  • Perform investigations, trials, and improvements in automated manufacturing processes.
  • Set up machines and devices to prepare investigations as indicated.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards (including process flow diagrams, PQIs, process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc).
  • Identifies and resolves quality issues related to automated equipment.
  • Mentors hourly skilled associates in proactive maintenance of assigned processes, including development of qualification cards and other training material.
  • Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.
  • Actively participate in daily management of area using MES and other analytics/data to meet targets and derive measures to continuously improve performance.
  • Support of all MOE2 equipment and production lines (generally ESP and IPB machining/deburr/visual inspection)
  • Support of Intralogistics System and AGV
  • Occasional technical support of night/weekends via phone (on site if required) as subject matter expert for extended downtime situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Engineering (Electrical or Mechatronic or related) and 3+ years technical experience.
  • PLC programing (required: Siemens TIA Portal and Studio 5000 / desired: Codesys)
  • Drive programing (required: Sinamics and PowerFlex / desired: Codesys: Indraworks)
  • Camera and Barcode Readers (required: Keyence and Cognex)
  • Hands-on experience with highly automated equipment technologies- such as CNC machines and High Pressure Deburr, robots (Kuka, Staubli), automated axis systems, vision systems, and feeding systems.
  • Electrical hardware design/upgrade experience.
  • Programming experience with object-oriented languages and web technologies (PLC programming, C#, Python, HTML/Javascript)
  • Experience with data analytics tools (PowerBI, etc)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Oracle) and IT concepts (VMs, networking)
  • Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry preferred.
  • Ability to read and define electric drawings, pneumatic and/or hydraulic plans.
  • Project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self-initiative.
  • Experience utilizing problem solving techniques to solve complex manufacturing issues (Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 whys).
  • Ability to travel (including internationally) for training, projects, and IPN activities.
