Dematic has an immediate need at our Mississauga, ON facility for Controls Engineers. It is preferred that the Controls Engineer has experience working in the material handling industry, but all PLC controls industrial experience will be considered.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Performs electrical layout/schematic design and creates description of operation.
• Prepares and releases order entry.
• Designs PLC program (AB & Siemens) and verifies PLC logic by emulation test.
• Designs visualization system through Ignition and other software.
• Commissioning and testing of industrial material handling controls systems.
• Performs complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system operation and design.
• Performs full range of standard work for the professional field.
• Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.
• Participates in onsite pre-commissioning, commissioning, system integration & acceptance testing with our customer.
• Provides customer startup/standby support.
• Alerts Project Managers of any concerns and potential risks and works to address them with the greater project team.
