Description Join ENTEK today as a Controls Engineer at our Terre Haute, Indiana location! Summary Description: Controls Engineers play a key role in bringing our manufacturing equipment to life. In this role, you’ll help design, develop, and start up the industrial control systems that will keep our production operations running smoothly. You’ll take ownership of equipment startup and troubleshooting at ENTEK’s Terre Haute, Indiana facility, working hands-on with systems that make a real impact. You’ll use P&IDs, scope documents, functional descriptions, and electrical drawings to write and refine PLC programs and HMI systems. Beyond programming, you’ll help shape full project scopes, create and run test procedures, and support on-site installation and commissioning. This is a role where your expertise truly matters—and where you can see the results of your work every day. Other related details of the position: Design and program various Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and SCADA platforms. Supervision esponsibilities include budgetary, planning, and safety. Review P&IDs and interact with Engineering Department personnel. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Position requires this individual to support after-hours calls from time to time. Position requires regular troubleshooting and customer service activities Follow Lean manufacturing utilizing tools such as Kaizens, 5S, RIE’s and other work area standards. Represent ENTEK with the highest standard of professional conduct when interacting with suppliers, customers employees and the community. Follow and promote ENTEK company core values. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Reports to the Controls Engineering Supervisor. Some domestic travel will be required. This position typically interacts with employees at all organization levels. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Understand basic electrical theory. Ability to identify automation components and understand how they interact to control a process. Electrical schematic review, I/O checkout, Control system commissioning. Ability to track milestones and forecast task timing Ability to work well effectively as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English. Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent 5+ years of related experience Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Autodesk Vault Competency with Siemens Step 7 in TIA Portal & Associated PLC and I/O Hardware. Competency with Siemens S120 and G120C Drives. Competency with Ignition Perspective
