The role involves but is not limited to:-

• Design and program complex automation solutions throughout project lifecycles, including supervise the installation at the customer’s facility
• Creation of functional design specification
• Work on multi line projects as part of a team
• Effective communications with Electrical, Mechanical, Process and Shop floor departments regarding design changes and issues.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities across the department
• Effective management of program back-ups and version control
• Investigate, troubleshoot & resolve automation failures
• Good management of design and commission time. Able to effectively hit project milestones
• A good team player, willing to assist other controls engineers on other projects
• Eliminate the risk of spill of non-conforming product through the processes with automated solutions
• Integration of cell upgrades through hardware and software additions
• Adhere to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Including, but not limited to: Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others; co-operating with Managers or any other person, to perform or comply with any requirement or duty imposed under a relevant statutory provision; To not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare.
