Now Hiring: Controls Engineer Schedule: Monday–Friday Compensation: $90,000 – $119,600 annually We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to design, implement, and support industrial control systems that drive efficiency, reliability, and performance across manufacturing operations. What You’ll Do: Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation Evaluate existing processes and develop strategies to improve performance and reliability Analyze system and process data to identify optimization opportunities Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, instrumentation, and electrical components Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational goals Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, updates, and procedures Support system installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities as needed Requirements What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications: *Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field *Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation *Hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI systems *Strong understanding of control theory including PID, DCS, and process control systems *Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control panel design *Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block, or Structured Text Preferred Qualifications: -Master’s degree in Control Engineering or related field -Experience with advanced control techniques such as Model Predictive Control (MPC) -Knowledge of ISA, IEC, or other relevant industry standards -Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments -Familiarity with data analytics or machine learning applications in automation Technology and Tools Experience with control platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or ABB Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar Understanding of communication protocols including Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet/IP Ability to use CAD software for control system layouts and panel design Additional Requirements *Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards *Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment *Willingness to travel for system installations or troubleshooting as needed *Availability for occasional on-call support *Strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits -MMS offers a competitive compensation package along with: -Up to 3 weeks of paid time off and 10 paid holidays per year -Uniforms provided at no cost -Medical, dental, and vision coverage -Employee Assistance Program available from day one -Tuition reimbursement up to $3,000 per year - 401(k) and Roth IRA options -Employee-Owned Stock Option Program eligibility after six months, company funded MMS is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
