JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Controls - Markhham, IL to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and implementing industrial control systems. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, industrial networks, and automation engineering to optimize and maintain material handling systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field OR 2+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with PLC-controlled automation in a continuous process or production environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Proficiency in Ladder Logic and structured programming for Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs.
  • Familiarity with robotics work cells and its control systems

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with material handling controls and automation technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain PLC/PC control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motor control systems, servo drives, and frequency drives.
  • Work with industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Profibus.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems.
  • Implement automation solutions to improve system performance.
  • Assist in project implementation for new and existing automation systems.
