Responsibilities

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing all controls and electrical systems in the plant to include electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, reading and creating control schematics in AutoCAD Electrical, and maintaining and troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems.

  • Design, build and maintain electrical/electronic systems and equipment:
  • Automated conveyor and packaging equipment
  • Robotic cells
  • Industrial communications networks
  • Building HVAC and lighting
  • Oversee and manage site’s electrical department
  • Design, draft, red-line, maintain, and organize wiring schematics and system drawings.
  • Adjust parameters in machines, VFDs, and servo motors
  • Troubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI programs.
  • Electrically tune and troubleshoot equipment for proper operation.
  • Assist in the assembly, programming, and installation of equipment as necessary.
  • Provide training to internal personnel as necessary.
  • Clearly and professionally interact with internal personnel and external contractors.
  • Provide technical support for plant processes and improvements
  • Observe facility operations on a regular basis
  • Communicate with Supervisors daily.
  • Education
  • BSEE or BSEET Degree
  • Related Experience
  • 2-7 years working experience in a related field.
  • Skills and Competencies
  • Candidate must be familiar with Allen Bradley PLC Programming Software, FactoryTalk View
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience with projects and customization a plus
  • Strong candidates will also have experience programming and using: Siemens, B and R, Schneider, Omron, Beckhoff, AutomationDirect controllers
  • Basic knowledge of food processing plants and good manufacturing practices.
  • Basic knowledge of proper work ergonomics and OSHA requirements for industrial applications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $125,000.00 - $137,000.00 per year
