Job Description: This role supports the Engineering team and Plant Teams with project development from design to operations turn over. This role supports all phases of project development within a multidisciplinary team. System design, P&ID development, network architecture, topology, control enclosure design with various PLC platforms, electrical schematics, FAT testing as required, instrumentation specification & documentation, control narratives / sequence of operations, cause and effect matrix, I&C procurements, PLC programming (AB, ladder logic, structured text, function diagrams), HMI development (Factory Talk ME, Ignition), commissioning, start-up, and finally turn over to operations. Responsibilities include wiring of equipment/enclosures, diagnosing and repairing electrical/programming issues. This role requires periodic travel, including international travel, during system installation and commissioning. Proper planning and foresight are critical to ensure efficient integration and a consistent customer experience. Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with development of P&IDs and PFDs for various plants, processes, and/or equipment. • Develop Engineering Specifications and procure I&C equipment • Design and document PLC software using Studio 5000. Originate control narratives, sequences of operations, and cause and effect matrix’s. Programming as required. • Assist in development of System Function Tests. • Assist in the design, building & modifying electrical panels, control system network components as required. • Develop scope of supply documents, manage contractors, and originate Engineering Specifications as required. • Monitor progress of projects and manage automation projects as assigned. • Install, configure, test, and start-up control systems on-site. • Assist the ongoing functionality, troubleshooting, and upkeep of systems. • Development of SCADA systems, Network Topology, and VPN access controls Qualifications • Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience with a focus of PLC programming.  • Experience with the Engineering design process.  Knowledge and experience with I&C documentation/development. • Knowledge of Processing Food and GMP in the Food Space. Preferred:  * 2+ years of relevant I&C experience. * Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). * Excellent communications skills, a positive attitude, self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.  Able to meet timelines and balance multiple projects at once. * EIT Certification a plus * Ability to adapt to plant changes and requests.
