We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and support PLC-based control systems for our industrial machinery. Why join Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery? Quarterly & annual profit sharing – paid when we’re profitable Generous PTO that combines vacation, sick, and personal time Medical, dental & vision insurance (company pays the majority of medical premium) Stable, U.S.-based manufacturer building custom equipment since 1981 What You’ll Do Program and support PLC and HMI systems for packaging machinery Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during build, test, and startup Create and maintain AutoCAD Electrical drawings and schematics Support machine testing, commissioning, and limited field startups Collaborate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and service teams Requirements Required Qualifications 3–5 years of PLC programming experience Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLC / HMI programming Strong electrical circuit troubleshooting skills Experience with AutoCAD Electrical Industrial machinery or automation experience Ability to work onsite in Sturtevant, WI Preferred Qualifications Packaging or material handling equipment experience Electrical system design background Startup and commissioning experience
