We’re looking for a passionate Controls Engineer to join us in driving next‑generation high‑COP CO₂ heat pump systems from concept to reality.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, programming, testing, and support of control systems for commercial heat pump products. Working in a small business environment, this role requires hands-on involvement across the product lifecycle, including design, prototyping, production support, and field troubleshooting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical ability with practical problem-solving skills and a willingness to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Experience with PLCs, control software (e.g., Carel, Allen-Bradley, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems or thermodynamic cycles
  • Ability to read and create electrical schematics

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license required for occasional field visits
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work in mechanical rooms or outdoor equipment areas
