JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Audit & Exam COE Control Group Manager will serve as the Exam Management Team Leader for the Commercial Bank. They will be responsible for overseeing the COE’s execution of the following: a) Internal Audits, Regulatory Exams (more complex or horizontal in nature) and Internal Reviews (2nd Line); b) more complex stakeholder interactions, design of COE process and reporting, and other COE and/or AMCB 1B initiatives); and c) Design Exam Readiness review activities. This includes managing a team to ensure the secure, efficient, and fair administration of audits and exams, both written and digital, in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during peak exam activity periods.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 year degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
  • 10+ years related experience required
  • In depth knowledge of Commercial business line, business model, credit risk management, operations, and related processes
  • Previous management experience with the ability to coach, counsel, and train staff
  • Strong communications skills including the ability to influence others’ actions and decisions without express authority
  • Demonstrates ability to manage projects, including task and responsibility delegation
  • Experience designing and delivering training to a wide audience
  • Excellent follow up skills and the ability to manage competing priorities according to business needsAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships across multiple stakeholders and departmental boundaries
