We are currently seeking: Controls Program Manager
The Controls Program Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems under the direction of the Director of Project Operations. Key responsibilities include creating circuit designs, ensuring product reliability through testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electronic solutions. This role focuses on driving technical innovation, meeting project deadlines, and enhancing product performance from design through implementation.

  • Proficient with design software, PLC design and programming including but not limited to Solidworks, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, Python for embedded systems development.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
  • Working knowledge of Revit, BIM, or equivalent software for system integration, preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with electronics focus), or a related field experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Electronics Technician (CET) certification, preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Sitting, standing, and occasional lifting of equipment or components up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to work in environments that include the use of testing equipment and small electronic components.
Responsibilities

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Design Build Manager, BD VP, Project Managers, and Quality Assurance team to establish project deliverables, timelines, and performance metrics for electronic systems.
  • Develop and deliver project measurables, potentially including:
  • Schematics and PCB layouts for electronic components.
  • Test plans and validation reports for system performance.
  • Specification manuals for electronic systems and components.
  • 65/95/100% design packages for project milestones.
  • Conduct design reviews of existing systems, including as-built documentation and component specifications, to ensure compatibility and performance.
  • Prepare and submit technical documentation as required for each project submittal checklists, obtaining necessary signoffs prior to completion.
  • Assist with design changes throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with design build team and project stakeholders to maintain project scope and schedule.
  • Designing, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and systems, maintaining clear documentation of control systems designs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Design, Build, Test and Implement Tusco Master and Slave panels to use with other AVB manufacturer’s equipment.
  • Design, Build, Test and Implement Tusco EPU panel to use with other AVB manufacturer’s equipment.
  • Take lead on creating or implementing new and innovative AVB features for Tusco Controls Program.
  • Evaluate and vet new barrier system providers and technologies to align with performance and relationship-minded objectives.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and the external barrier control partners throughout the submittal review process to ensure the barrier control system will function as specified.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting assistance for service calls and assist field teams with diagnostics and problem resolution. Assist technician as needed with confirmation of ordering replacement and warranty parts as needed for service work.
  • Provide training and support for other team members.
  • Participate in client-facing discussions to support sales, scope technical requirements, and provide engineering input for proposals.
  • Conduct site visits to verify system integration and compile After Action Reports to document findings and recommendations.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, demonstrating initiative to exceed expectations and solve technical challenges proactively.
