About the team Within engineering you are the colleague who is responsible to make engineering easier with standardized products and processes in clever tooling. Together with Technology and Engineering, you advise and support multiple projects on where deviations have to be made to meet customer needs. You will make sure these are made available in our standard generation tooling. Based on project experiences and products from Technology, you translate the project requirements in a (multi-disciplinary) decomposition, and you will implement the functionality in the project library and tooling. In this you take responsibility for the developments done and will support on site to commission and run final tests. We expect you to focus on project needs as well as cost of execution and service. Next to this you will advise and support project teams in setting up an engineering environment to make sure systems can be delivered in a controlled way with the right quality and ready for handover to the service teams. For this Vanderlande is using the Atlassian and Polarion tool. Your profile Successfully completed education at HBO (higher vocational education) level in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science or Controls Technology. This vacancy is for senior engineers Strong analytic skills Proactive, pragmatic and hands on attitude Delivering feedback and best practice to improve our products Communicating with regular progress reports Create and improve standard way of working Work with different departments and different project locations Managing deadlines and milestones Knowledge of and experience in PLC applications (TIA Portal) Strong interest in productivity tooling used for software generation based on XML input files Willing to work regularly for extended periods in other countries (up to 50% of your time) Ability to work independently Good command of the English language You will report to the Project Manager Engineering within the Airports Engineering department. The Airports Engineering department has engineering teams over several location in Europe and the middle east. Job location is Veghel, but support will be given to projects supported at multiple locations. Travel to other locations can be required based on the demand of the projects.
