Job Title Controls Project Engineer Job Description Are you passionate about designing and programming PLC controls for advanced material handling systems? Vanderlande is looking for a Controls Project Engineer to join our Project Engineering team in Veghel, working on projects in the Airports and Parcel domains worldwide. As a Controls Project Engineer, you will design, program, and test PLC software according to high-quality project specifications. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary project team during the engineering phase to deliver functional specifications, then take responsibility for the detailed design, programming, and testing of the PLC software. Once the engineering phase is complete, you will travel to customer sites worldwide to commission the material handling system. This includes performing functional testing of PLC hardware and software, integrating your software into the overall control system, and supporting customer acceptance testing. You will also monitor project budgets and schedules, taking appropriate actions when needed to ensure successful delivery. Your responsibilities Develop and program PLC controls in compliance with project specifications. Collaborate with project leaders, integration managers, mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Test and commission PLC systems at customer sites globally. Integrate PLC software into the overall control system and support customer acceptance testing. Monitor project budgets, schedules, and milestones, and take corrective actions when necessary. Provide feedback and best practices to continuously improve products and processes. Your profile Bachelor degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or Controls Technology. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proactive, pragmatic, and hands-on attitude. Experience with PLC applications, preferably TIA Portal. Willingness to work internationally up to 50% of your time. Excellent command of the English language. Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide regular progress updates. What do we offer? This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4.300 to € 5.600 per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
