Description

Position: Controls Specialist
Department: Controls/Automation
Travel Required: Potential travel up to 10% (US, Canada & Mexico)
Design and implementation of control panels and any associated electronics/instrumentation for Industrial Water Treatment Systems. Application development of Allen Bradley PLC’s & HMI’s. Testing and support of new and existing equipment. Position needs to work substantially from Rock Hill, SC facility.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering degree preferred / UL certification preferred with 5+ years experience.
  • Ability to read and follow P&ID’s.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independent and with a team and direct with end users and vendors.
  • Capable of periodic travel as needed to support field team and end users.
  • Electrical component / electronics troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Design Electrical schematics for project control panels & instrumentation using AutoCad Electrical (Autodesk) and creat BOM’s.
  • Develop PLC & HMI applications (mainly Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley products).
  • Integrate Communications between devices (Ethernet).
  • Load replacement PLC & HMI’s.
  • Upgrade existing projects.
  • Troubleshoot existing systems.
  • Support field team during installation and startup phase of projects.
  • Ability to adjust to a fluid schedule in a manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous product improvement / R&D.
  • Ability to learn and work with non-standard programming packages / hardware.
  • Prepare for and oversee in-house UL inspections when necessary.
