QUALIFICATIONS

  • Control Systems related field or 5 years equivalent experience in related field, associate degree in electronic technology preferred.
  • Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Allen Bradley Studio 5000 PLC’s and PLC components.
  • Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Robotics system components and controls.
  • Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and program HMI components.
  • Ability to develop Controls related PMs and PDM procedures.
  • Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Motor Controls including motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), DC drives, and standard electrical components.
  • Industrial electrical distribution systems with hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 120/208/240vac 3-phase, 277/480vac 3-phase, and 24VDC systems.
  • Ability to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify multiple Industrial Ethernet networks and VLANs including cabling, unmanaged and managed switches, and all other associated devices.
  • Ability to execute project tasks assigned.
  • Reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and modify drawings both mechanical and electrical.
  • Ability to identify, maintain, and utilize basic CMMS systems and KPI’s.
  • Ability to train others with lesser skills.
  • Ability to access all levels and areas of the facility.
  • Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Working in a manufacturing environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, lifting, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above shoulders and head, standing, working in enclosed areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and operating heavy machinery. The noise level in the work environment can vary but noise is usually low to moderate.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety gloves, hearing protection, protective footwear and protective clothing, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot software programs for process control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
  • . Read and interpret software control logic, electrical diagrams, manuals, and drawings.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, testing and calibration of, VFDs, Encoders, DC motors, magnetic tapes, HMI interface, CNC sequencing, control valves, photocells, temperature controllers, and associated equipment that send and receive data.
  • Comply with arc flash, confined space, hot work, LOTO procedures and policies.
  • Communicate technical issues and project timelines with leadership, operations, and the maintenance team. Explain production impacts and work closely with operations and maintenance management to ensure a thorough understanding of impact to systems.
  • Help train and develop shift maintenance mechanics on controls systems concepts and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computer software and control system applications used in a pneumatic process facility (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Allen-Bradley, Sturtz machinery, etc.).
  • Must be a team player capable of working on multiple projects, must take initiative with assignments and be proactive with safety, and add value in group projects.
