Description
Description Perform periodic electronics maintenance activities. Maintain parts through use of the Maintenance clerk to allow repairs to proceed in an efficient and timely manner. Repair and maintain PLC’s, spectrometers, EAF’s, high voltage equipment and other equipment as needed. Principal Accountabilities Performs all periodic maintenance and troubleshooting and repair on spectrometer, PLC’s arc furnaces and various high voltage equipment. Program PLC’s as needed. Maintain software and licenses, including certification and training requirements. Work with Maintenance Clerk to obtain and maintain spare parts to complete project work and associated maintenance activities. Perform special project work as requested. Provide guidance for electrical design of project components and supervise installation of project items. Recommend engineering changes to correct and improve the operating capabilities of plant facilities and equipment within cost and safety constraints. Analyze and prioritize daily requests from Maintenance and Production Supervisors to insure effective completion of projects. Act as a liaison with various equipment manufacturers and other outside sources to resolve specific design or operational problems. Calibration of scales, zoning and calibration of ovens to adhere to ISO standards. Maintain and adhere to ISO standards including but not limited to the Quality Policy Statement as well as the Quality Control Procedures Manual. Requirements Two-year electrical degree. Knowledge of preventative maintenance program in a manufacturing facility. Ability to organize and direct the maintenance planning in a manufacturing facility. Knowledge of various foundry equipment and operations, with emphasis on plant and maintenance systems. Effective organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills, plus diversified human relations skills. Understanding of cost and safety constraints in maintenance. Understanding of applicable government, outside agency and city regulations.
