Description The Assistant Manager supports store management with daily operations while delivering excellent customer service. This role assists with supervising employees, maintaining store operations, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organized environment. Key Responsibilities Provide friendly, professional customer service and promptly resolve questions or concerns Assist with daily store operations, including employee training, scheduling, and supervision Support administrative duties such as payroll, cash handling, deposits, reports, and inventory Process POS transactions accurately and balance cash drawers Work with vendors, manage inventory levels, and stock merchandise Operate food preparation equipment safely and accurately process food orders Maintain store cleanliness, facilities, and grounds Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and state and federal regulations Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and management Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, overtime as needed, and on-call availability Supervisory Responsibilities Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, and evaluating employee performance Address employee concerns and work with management to ensure excellent customer service Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Previous retail, convenience store, or management experience preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Basic accounting and computer proficiency required. Must be available for operational needs, including weekends, holidays, and emergency situations. Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond promptly to store or personnel issues as they arise.
