Responsibilities
  • Position will be in charge of all trade shows assisting all exhibitors.
  • Will work with billing, shipping and receiving, sales office, front office, banquets, catering, engineering and group contact.
  • Ensure that details are followed from the banquet event order (BEO) and check BEO for that day’s setups in all upcoming functions.
  • Review and check all upcoming BEOs and production sheets for shift.
  • Unlock meeting room doors, change door cards, check lighting and temperature in meeting rooms.
  • Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
  • Deliver soiled linen to laundry department; determine if linen needs to be washed immediately for next day’s setup or in the immediate future.
  • Assign room clean outs and setup.
  • Ensure that the catering areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Ensure that at the close of a function and at the end of the workday, all banquet rooms are cleared and securely locked, and ensure all equipment is stored in the designated area.
  • At the end of each shift, inspect and make any necessary corrections on all work done by setup staff.
  • Take ownership of all guest compliments or complaints and relay same to management.
  • Submit maintenance requests to the Banquet Manager/F & B Mgr for Bqts & Catering for broken or damaged equipment.
  • Assist staff with room setups, food service, and clean up when necessary.
  • Maintain Driftwood and hotel standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product
