The Department of Medicine - Division of General Internal Medicine invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor position in the appointment stream. We seek a dynamic and accomplished investigator whose research advances understanding of reproductive biology, sexual health, gender-based health disparities, or related public health challenges. The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized academic community committed to innovation, equity, and translational impact in women’s and reproductive health. Key Responsibilities include *lead an independent, externally funded research program in sexual and reproductive health, *collaborate across disciplines including medicine, public health, and social sciences, *publish high-impact research and contribute to national and international discourse, *mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty, *participate in departmental and institutional service, including research committees and strategic initiatives, and *engage with community partners to promote health equity and translational research. Qualified candidates for the Research Assistant Professor will possess a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in a relevant biomedical, clinical, or public health discipline and have three or more years of experience in related scientific research. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in obtaining external research funding (e.g., NIH, CDC, foundations), have disseminated results through peer-reviewed publications and other scientific forums, expertise in sexual and reproductive health, including areas such as contraception, maternal health, LGBTQ+ health, or reproductive justice, a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in research and mentorship, and have significant teaching experience; and demonstrate the capacity for sustained career development, promotion, and tenure.
