We are looking for you, located in Vienna with the possibility of hybrid working as a Conversational UX Designer (m/f/d) Your tasks are: Conducting user research to understand how users interact across multiple modalities—voice, touch, and graphical user interfaces—and identifying context-dependent behaviors and needs Designing multimodal interaction flows that define how users seamlessly transition between modes (e.g., voice to screen, touch to text) to accomplish tasks efficiently Defining the visual, spoken, and behavioral elements of the experience, ensuring each modality complements the others and supports clarity, accessibility, and ease of use Conducting multimodal usability tests to evaluate cross-channel continuity, clarity of system responses, interaction efficiency, and identify friction points Collaborating with product managers, development leads, UX designers, UX researchers, documentation and localisation other stakeholders to translate insights into cohesive multimodal experiences Championing the user’s perspective, ensuring that interactions remain intuitive and user-centered regardless of the mode or combination of modes used Challenging existing designs and improving the overall multimodal ecosystem by leveraging data, analytics, and performance metrics to refine interaction patterns Demonstrating flexibility in iterating and aligning multimodal behaviors to deliver a launch-ready product while maintaining a strong focus on user needs Balancing technical feasibility, business goals, and user expectations to ensure the multimodal system provides coherent, high-value interactions You’ll bring in: BSc in Design, Psychology, Cognitive Science, HCI or other relevant field 3-5+ years of relevant experience in the field Experience in working within a B2B context and a background in healthcare are a plus Working proficiency in German and English Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can get your ideas across to a variety of audiences.
