Converting Production Planner/Procurement Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use. We are committed to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strong compliance with internal and external regulations.   Sofidel America is currently seeking a Converting Production Planner with procurement responsibilities to support our converting operations. This role is ideal for a candidate who can reliably commute to the Shelby, NC and Duncan, SC facilities and is seeking a long-term opportunity in a stable, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.   Key Responsibilities: The Converting Production Planner is responsible for developing, establishing, and managing all planning and production scheduling activities for the converting operation at multiple manufacturing sites. This role also has procurement responsibilities, supports the supply chain team, and ensures departmental objectives are met.   • Develop, maintain, and manage an accurate and efficient Master Production Schedule (MPS). • Ensure production plans, inventory levels, and cycle reports are accurate and reliable. • Gather input from Sales, Marketing, and Production through structured planning meetings to improve forecast accuracy and production efficiency. • Identify and communicate over and under capacity conditions and provide recommendations for risk mitigation within converting operations. • Prepare and analyze finished goods inventory reports, including actual versus optimal levels, inventory turnover, inventory accuracy, and inventory adjustments with root cause analysis. • Ensure production schedules and related reports are maintained, accessible, and clearly communicated to all required personnel. • Collaborate with Procurement, Paper Mill Planning, and the Production Manager to confirm production schedules prior to distribution. • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance production and planning processes. • Procurement responsibilities for raw and auxiliary materials in alignment with the production plan, ensuring compliance with signed framework agreements and corporate procedures.   Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. • One to three years of production scheduling or planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
