ABOUT YOU:

  • We are looking for a bright, professional, team orientated Conveyancing Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
  • You will need to possess enthusiasm, a pro-active approach, the ability to adapt and learn quickly and a strong interest in property law.
  • We can offer you training so while previous experience is an advantage, we would still love to hear from talented people without experience, who are looking to pursue a career in residential conveyancing.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will assist with the running and progression of Conveyancing transactions, including but not limited to:

  • Handling incoming calls and other communications, responding to queries promptly, with the support of others where required.
  • Preparing, receiving and verifying new client care park electronically, working closely with Solicitors and Fee Earners to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Verification of identification and source of funds for all new clients.
  • Completing Title Checks under the direction of a Fee Earner.
  • Drafting and issuing Contract Packs.
  • Obtaining redemption statements.
  • Dealing with pre-contact enquiries on sale files under the direct supervision of a Fee Earner.
  • Preparing pre-completion paperwork, including invoices and Statements of Accounts.
  • Updating our case management system proactively to ensure all matters accurately reflect current status.
  • Complete tasks assigned by Fee Earner or other team members to ensure a smooth and swift service to clients.
  • Working with our third party stakeholders to develop business relationships by providing excellent customer service.

You will also undertake regular training under the direction of the Compliance Director and Legal Operations Director to ensure professional development and delivery of a high standard of legal work.
