I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Chester, who are looking to appoint an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary/Assistant to join their residential property team. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing legal secretary or assistant role is essential
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Confident using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently and support multiple fee earners in a busy environment
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

This is a full-time, office-based position supporting a team of conveyancing fee earners. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of conveyancing transactions, providing secretarial and administrative support to ensure a smooth and efficient process for clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting solicitors with residential property transactions from instruction to completion
  • Preparing legal documentation and correspondence
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage providers, and other third parties
  • Managing case files, both electronic and paper-based
  • Handling post-completion matters including SDLT and Land Registry applications
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures
  • Answering calls, managing calendars, and organising meetings
