Hi, we are currently recruiting on behalf of a law firm based in Chigwell, who are seeking a conveyancing paralegal to join their expanding team. It’s a great opportunity to work with some of the best in the field - as well as great development opportunities.

Day to day support and assistance to the fee earners. Within this role, you will be working in the conveyancing department.

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of residential and new build transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Ensure that all deadlines and milestones are met in line with client expectations and developer requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the process.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, mortgage deeds, and other associated paperwork.
  • Prepare and submit applications to HM Land Registry, local authorities, and other relevant bodies.
  • Conduct thorough title checks and ensure all necessary property searches are completed.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the title review process.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions in the case management system.
  • Handle post-completion tasks such as SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) returns, registration of the property with HM Land Registry, and dealing with any requisitions raised.
  • Assist with the management of client accounts, including handling deposits, payments, and any disbursements related to the conveyancing process.
  • Work closely with solicitors, legal assistants, and other paralegals to ensure the smooth operation of the conveyancing team.
  • Provide support and cover for other team members as required.
