Oraclelaw are an expanding legal practice based in the south side of Glasgow at Clarkston with offices in Bishopbriggs, Muirhead and Hamilton. We provide a wide range of legal services including domestic and commercial conveyancing. We do not carry out volume conveyancing preferring instead to concentrate on providing a high-quality personalised service to our clients.
We are hoping to recruit a conveyancing paralegal to work at our Clarkston office. Hours are flexible..
You will be expected to carry out the following tasks:
· Use Register of Scotland services and obtain copy titles, lodge Advance Notices, register deeds (including for first registration)
· Order property searches
· Understand the LBTT regime and draft and submit LBTT returns via Revenue Scotland.
· Understand and be able to interact with Lender Exchange and LMS portals to process mortgage documentation
· Have knowledge of title indemnity policies and obtain quotes for same
· Preparation of fee quotes to prospective clients via our portal
· Preparation of terms of business letters
· Note interest for clients
· Request Home Reports from Estate Agents.
· Maintain diary reminder system for settlements, closing dates and lodging Advance Notices
· Onboarding clients and carrying out ID and money laundering checks (via our portal and electronic AML systems)
· Raise Fee notes
· Draft dispositions and security paperwork.

· Assisting with all aspects of commercial property transactions, including sales, acquisitions, leases etc.

  • Assisting with drafting legal documents, such as leases, agreements, and conveyancing documents.
  • Conducting property searches and due diligence.
  • Preparing and managing files for completion and post-completion procedures.
  • Liaising with clients, surveyors, estate agents, and other professionals.
  • Managing the coordination of transactions, including deadlines and document preparation.
  • Providing general administrative support to the legal team.
