REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing role, ideally within a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A law degree or legal qualification (such as LPC or CILEx) is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist fee earners in managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders.
  • Conduct searches and review reports on title.
  • Prepare and submit SDLT returns and Land Registry applications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records.
  • Respond to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
