JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal with real estate experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the real estate conveyancing process efficiently, ensuring all legal documents are prepared accurately and in compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a conveyancing role or similar paralegal position within a legal environment.
  • Strong administrative skills with a focus on organizational efficiency.
  • Excellent research abilities to ensure thorough understanding of property laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in legal drafting, with the ability to write clear and concise documents.
  • Exceptional proofreading and reviewing skills to ensure accuracy in all materials.
  • Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective client communication.
  • Familiarity with Clio, LDD, and or similar conveyancing systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

    Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions and closings, including contracts, deeds, and transfer forms.
  • Conduct thorough research to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations governing property transactions and corporate/commercial work.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation for all cases, ensuring easy access to information as needed.
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email, providing updates on the status of their transactions and addressing any inquiries.
  • Proofread all documents for accuracy and clarity before submission or filing.
  • Assist in interviewing clients to gather necessary information for the conveyancing process.
  • Utilize Clio, LDD, Unity, or similar conveyancing software for document management and tracking progress on files.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve any issues that may arise.
