Responsible for managing day-to-day operational and administrative aspects of a business unit, leading cross-functional projects, and ensuring implementation of business unit strategy. This role may involve preparing key reports and presentations, coordinating events, governing business-specific processes as well as owning financial planning, cost control, and reporting for the business unit, ensuring efficient use of resources. YOUR CHALLENGE GENERAL DESCRIPTION COO Asia Business Management supports the COO Asia in executing the COO mandate to support the Bank’s growth strategy by providing reliable, scalable and efficient platform and services to the Front Office functions. KEY FEATURES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Work with and support Head, COO Asia Business Management on the following: a) SME for Processes and Tools Lead initiatives to improve and streamline processes in COO Asia that impact Front to Back by increasing efficiency and accuracy Leverage technology / tools that support process improvement b) Run-the-Bank Work with internal stakeholders to support the design and implementation of projects, policies, regulatory requirements, etc. that are initiated by the COO office or impacting COO functions Track account opening pipelines and provide data driven insights, identify process improvement opportunities to the account opening process Facilitate account opening pipelines by liaising with front and back office to reduce account opening time c) Change-the-Bank Manage and request budget for multiple workstreams and locations i. e., projects / small IT orders Support and execute projects in implementation of the Bank / COO strategy Support the implementation of regional strategic change projects with the business d) Reporting Prepare reports on Account Opening (e.g. pipeline, priority tracker), name screening, KYC periodic review, remediation, etc Prepare management cockpits to track delivery of COO Asia services for global, regional and local management committees e) COO Asia Management Support: Support the planning and execution of the COO Asia strategy by providing data-driven analytics and insights Prepare and consolidate slides for management updates Be a voice on the ground and play an active role in improving employee engagement and satisfaction across COO Asia Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations YOUR PROFILE SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Personal and Social Keen observer with good logical ability to understand situations, concepts and people Resourcefulness to implement pragmatic and practical solutions that increase efficiency and effectiveness Maturity and composure to engage with key stakeholders Able to articulate clearly and concisely, and also in writing Structured and organised Dynamic ability to balance issues, work under pressure and meet deadlines Takes pride in producing good quality work and adding value Thrives on teamwork, and achieving goals collectively Learns through others, and contributes to their learning and growth Professional and Technical Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics or equivalent 3 - 5 years working experience (private banking/wealth management, in-house or external consulting preferred) Strong financial and commercial competence and ability to understand and contribute to business cases Experience in leveraging tools and technology to support analytics and problem-solving (e.g. Excel, Python, Tableau and/or PowerBI), and synthesise data coherently with strong presentation skills (incl.
